GIA DIAMOND

Teva Diamonds, the leading provider of wholesaled diamonds in North America, is often asked: “What is a GIA Diamond?” From the outset of diamond mining, diamonds were graded on clarity and color. However, the industry needed more. It needed a way to guarantee the diamond being purchased is precisely what the customer is buying. Teva Diamonds is the leading provider of superior GIA Diamonds and can help you make the right selection for you and your special occasion. (877)683-3426

WHAT IS A GIA DIAMOND?

A GIA diamond is a diamond graded by gemologists from the non-profit and independent organization, GIA. Geological Institute of America (GIA) conducts gem research, gem education, and sets the standards for diamond quality. The standards set by GIA contained in the 4Cs of diamond quality: color, clarity, cut and carat weight. GIA created the standard and the scientific procedures for evaluation of each “C” and the grading corresponding terminology. To maintain their scientific integrity and neutrality, GIA does not mine, appraise, buy, sell or trade diamonds. This provides the organization with a high level of integrity. All diamond quality assessments, from GIA, are completely objective and unbiased.

Quality and price go hand in hand, and a GIA diamond grading report accompanies every GIA diamond. Not all diamonds are graded by GIA, such as CVD diamonds. Remember, GIA only grades diamonds, and it does not certify diamonds. GIA provides diamond grade reports on every diamond it examines.
